In plain English: Corpers Connect is a social platform built for Nigerian NYSC corps members. By using the app, you agree to treat other corpers with respect, follow the law, and play fair. These terms spell out the details.
1. Who can use Corpers Connect
Corpers Connect is reserved for verified Nigerian NYSC corps members — past or present — and those transitioning into service (OTONDO), active corps members (KOPA / CORPER), and recently-discharged ex-corpers. You must provide a valid NYSC state code during signup so we can verify your membership.
You must be at least 18 years old. One account per corps member. Accounts found to be shared, resold, or created with falsified NYSC details will be terminated without notice.
2. Your account and security
You are responsible for keeping your password, OTP codes, and 2FA device secure. Notify us immediately at support@corpersconnect.com.ng if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Don't share your login credentials with anyone — not even your roommate at camp.
- We'll never ask for your password over DM, email, or phone.
- Enable two-factor authentication in Settings → Security for stronger protection.
3. Community standards
Corpers Connect is a place to celebrate the NYSC experience, find opportunities, and support fellow corps members. To keep it that way, the following are not allowed:
- Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or threats of any kind.
- Nudity, sexually explicit content, or content that sexualises minors.
- Scams, phishing, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent "hustles".
- Impersonating NYSC officials, other corpers, or any Corpers Connect staff.
- Spamming, mass-following, or automated engagement.
- Selling illegal goods (drugs, firearms, etc.) on Mami Market.
- Posting content that violates Nigerian law or NYSC regulations.
We reserve the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or ban users who violate these standards. Serious violations (fraud, threats, illegal activity) may be reported to law enforcement and NYSC authorities.
4. Mami Market — buying and selling
Mami Market lets corps members trade with each other. Transactions happen directly between buyer and seller — Corpers Connect is not a party to any sale and does not hold funds.
- List only items you own and can legally sell.
- Describe items honestly; photos must match the actual item.
- Meet in safe, public places; use verified payment methods.
- Report suspicious listings using the in-app Report button.
5. CC Library — publishing and reading
Authors on CC Library are fully responsible for the content they publish. By uploading a book you confirm that you own the copyright or have permission to distribute it. Books are priced in Naira; Corpers Connect retains a 15% platform fee, with 85% credited to the author's wallet.
Readers may not redistribute, print, or share purchased PDFs. Purchased books are watermarked with the reader's identity to deter piracy.
6. Opportunities
Opportunity postings are provided by other users and third parties. Corpers Connect does not verify every listing. Research thoroughly before applying — especially for roles that ask for payment, personal documents beyond your CV, or bank details.
7. Content you post
You retain ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant Corpers Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute your content within the platform for as long as your account exists.
We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms or that we believe is unsafe.
8. Our intellectual property
The Corpers Connect name, logo, design, and software are protected by copyright and trademark law. Don't copy, clone, or reuse them without written permission.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, posts, messages, and listings. We may also terminate accounts that violate these terms.
10. Limitation of liability
Corpers Connect is provided "as is". We do our best to keep the platform running smoothly and safely, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and note the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be highlighted in-app.
